In an exhilarating display of skill and determination, the Boys and Girls Swim Teams of the Elks recently competed in one of the largest high school swim meets in the country – the Southwest Ohio Classic Swim Meet. The excitement unfolded with the Prelims at the WTRC on Saturday morning, where numerous Elks swimmers showcased their prowess, earning spots in the Finals later that night at St. Xavier HS.

The Elks had an outstanding day, and the results from the Finals reflect the hard work and dedication of the team:

The Girls 400 Medley Relay, comprising Tanvi Bole, Sophie Sperber, Anna Gearhart, and Carson Kien, secured an impressive 5th place with a time of 3:55.49. Similarly, the Boys 400 Medley Relay, featuring Matthew Fleisher, Emory Pianki, William Guerin, and Caleb Purtee, showcased their teamwork, earning the 7th spot with a time of 3:36.99.

Individual performances were equally remarkable, with Anna Gearhart dominating the Girls 100 Butterfly and securing 1st place with a swift time of 55.69. Gabi Schopperth demonstrated her excellence in the Girls Para 50 Freestyle, claiming the top spot with a time of 41.93.

The Elks' success continued across various events, including the Boys 500 Freestyle, where Matthew Fleisher, William Guerin, and Caleb Purtee secured 8th, 9th, and 16th places, respectively.

The Girls 200 Freestyle Relay and Boys 200 Freestyle Relay added to the team's accomplishments by finishing in 6th and 8th places, respectively.
