BOYS VARSITY BOWLING SECURES GWOC TITLE IN STYLE

Boys Varsity Bowling Secures GWOC Title in Style

Tuesday night was a night of celebration for the Boys Varsity Bowling team as they clinched the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) Title with a resounding victory over Springboro. The win not only improved their GWOC record to a perfect 12-0 but also put them three games ahead with just two matches left to bowl in the season.

Facing off against Springboro, the Elks delivered a commanding performance, ultimately triumphing with a final score of 2537-2304. Leading the charge for the Elks was Jake Hamrick, whose exceptional bowling prowess earned him a stellar two-game total of 479, consisting of impressive scores of 231 and 248. Following closely behind was Vedanta Maladkar, contributing significantly to the team's success with a solid performance totaling 462, highlighted by scores of 203 and an impressive 259. Adding to the excitement was Brody O'Brien, whose exceptional second game saw him shoot an impressive 266, further solidifying the Elks' dominance on the lanes.

The victory was not just another win for the team but also a historic milestone as they set a school record of 21 consecutive match wins, showcasing their consistency and excellence throughout the season.

Meanwhile, the Junior Varsity (JV) Boys Bowling team also made their mark with an impressive victory over Springboro, triumphing with a final score of 2480-1629. Gabe Clark emerged as a standout performer for the JV team, setting a new JV single record with an outstanding total of 547, comprising remarkable scores of 279 and 268.
