The Lady Elks Varsity Basketball team faced a challenging game against the Springboro team on Wednesday night, resulting in a final score of 59-33 in favor of Springboro. Despite their efforts, the Lady Elks couldn't secure a victory on the road.

Emily Grim emerged as the leading scorer for the Elks, contributing 10 points to the team's total. Additionally, Halley Boeke made an impactful contribution with 9 points. Despite their individual efforts, the team couldn't overcome Springboro's strong performance.

With this loss, the Lady Elks Varsity team's overall record for the season stands at 12 wins and 9 losses. In the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC), their record is now 7 wins and 6 losses.

However, it wasn't all disappointment for the Lady Elks on Wednesday night. The Junior Varsity (JV) team managed to secure a victory against Springboro with a close score of 31-28. It was a testament to their teamwork and determination.

Unfortunately, the 9th-grade team didn't have the same success, experiencing a loss against Springboro with a final score of 55-22. Despite the setback, the team will no doubt learn and grow from the experience.

Looking ahead, the final games of the regular season are scheduled for Saturday night at Wayne. The JV team will take the court at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity team at 7:00 pm. It's an opportunity for the Lady Elks to finish the season on a high note and showcase their skills one last time before playoffs. Tickets are available online at
