Impressively, the Centerville teams advanced a total of 6 girls and 5 boys to the State Meet, a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
For the girls, notable qualifiers included the Girls 200 Medley Relay team consisting of Tanvi Bole, Sandhya Narayanan, Anna Gearhart, and Carson Kien, who finished 4th with a time of 1:45.34. The Girls 400 Freestyle Relay team consisting of Carson Kien, Sandhya Narayanan, Sophie Sperber, Anna Gearhart with a time of 3:36.78, finished 5th to qualify for State. Anna Gearhart also secured spots in the 200 Individual Medley (7th place) and the 100 Butterfly (1st place). Congratulations to Anna Gearhart on her new school record of 54.70 in the 100 Butterfly. Anna set the previous record of 54.87 at least year's District meet. Additionally, Gabi Schopperth excelled in the Para events, finishing 1st in both the Para 50 Freestyle and the Para 100 Backstroke. Gabi also broke her own school records in both of these events!
On the boys' side, Matthew Fleisher stood out with his performances in the 200 Individual Medley (9th place) and the 100 Backstroke (7th place). Caleb Purtee and the Boys 200 Freestyle Relay team also secured spots in the State Meet with strong showings.

Looking ahead, all State qualifiers will compete in the Prelims on Friday, February 23rd, with the hopes of advancing to the Finals on Saturday, February 24th, starting at 3 pm. Gabi Schopperth will showcase her skills in the State Finals of her two events on Friday night at 5 pm.
