Girls Varsity Bowling Team Shows Grit at Sectional Tournament

The Girls Varsity Bowling team demonstrated their determination and skill at the SWDAB Sectional Tournament held at Poelking Woodman on Wednesday. Despite facing tough competition, the Lady Elks showcased their resilience and secured a 9th place finish, earning them a spot in the next round of the tournament.

With only the top 10 teams advancing to the SWDAB District Tournament, the Centerville team managed to clinch their advancement, showcasing their competitive edge and teamwork. Leading the charge were Junior Katie Hatfield and Senior Faith Dunn, who finished 13th and 14th individually, with impressive scores of 569 and 568 respectively.

Looking ahead, the team is gearing up for the District Championship, slated to take place at Beaver-Vu Lanes on Thursday, February 29th. The competition will kick off bright and early at 9:45 AM, offering the Lady Elks another opportunity to showcase their bowling prowess. With their eyes set on success, the team aims to secure one of the top 4 spots that will lead them to the State Championship the following weekend.
