Girls Varsity Wrestling team showcased their skills and determination at the OHSAA Pre-Regional Meet held at Loveland on Sunday. Competing against strong opponents, the Lady Elks secured an impressive 2nd place finish, setting the stage for their upcoming challenge at the Regional Tournament.

The team's outstanding performance earned them the qualification of nine wrestlers to the Regional Tournament, a testament to their hard work and dedication. Among those qualifying were Lucy Amrine, Maanasa Miriyala, Elaina Sharritt, Olivia Voss, Sara Myers, Sophia Taylor, Carlee Page, Marisa Edwards, and Justice Smith, each demonstrating their prowess on the mat in their respective weight classes.

Lucy Amrine, competing at 100 lbs., showed her skills by securing 2nd place, while Maanasa Miriyala and Elaina Sharritt claimed 3rd and 2nd place respectively in their weight divisions. Olivia Voss fought her way to 4th place at 130 lbs., and Sara Myers demonstrated her talent with a 3rd place finish at 135 lbs. Sophia Taylor, Carlee Page, and Marisa Edwards dominated their weight classes, each clinching 1st place titles. Justice Smith rounded out the qualifiers with a 3rd place finish in the 235 lbs. category.

Excitement now mounts as the Lady Elks gear up for the Regional Tournament, set to take place at Harrison High School on Sunday, March 3rd, with matches commencing at 10 AM.
