Girls Varsity Wrestling Team showed their mettle at the recent OHSAA Regional Tournament, held at Harrison High School this past Sunday. Competing among 59 teams, the girls displayed exceptional effort throughout the day, culminating in a commendable 8th place finish.

Among the highlights of the tournament were the impressive performances by three Centerville wrestlers who secured placements. Carlee Page, competing in the 145 lbs. weight class, and Lucy Amrine, in the 100 lbs. weight class, both demonstrated their skill and determination by clinching 6th place in their respective categories.

However, the spotlight truly shone on Sophia Taylor, competing in the 140 lbs. weight class. Sophia's outstanding performance earned her a remarkable 2nd place finish, securing her spot in the upcoming OHSAA State Tournament. This prestigious event is set to take place next weekend at the Schottenstein Center, situated on the campus of The Ohio State University.

The achievements of Carlee, Lucy, and Sophia are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Their success not only reflects their individual talents but also underscores the strength and unity of the Centerville Elk Girls Varsity Wrestling Team as a whole.
