Boys' Varsity Basketball emerged victorious against Hamilton at the Cintas Center on Wednesday night, securing a spot in the OHSAA Regional Finals. The Elks dominated the game from the outset, displaying efficiency both defensively and offensively to secure a commanding 60-35 win.

Right from the start, the Elks took the lead, establishing control over the game, particularly in the second half. At the end of the first quarter, the Elks held a 17-12 lead, but Hamilton managed to narrow the gap by burying a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer, leaving the score at 27-23 in favor of Centerville at halftime.

However, the second half showcased an exceptional display by the Elks. They intensified their defensive efforts and demonstrated impeccable teamwork on the offensive end. Outscoring Hamilton 33-7 in the latter half, the Elks left no room for doubt regarding their dominance. Their relentless defensive pressure seemed to wear down Hamilton, ultimately bringing an end to their commendable season.

Key players in Centerville's victory included Jonathan Powell, who led the team with 21 points, Ethan Greenberg contributing 17 points, and Baboucarr Njie adding 10 points to the scoreboard. With this triumph, the Elks improved their overall record to 18-8 and extended their winning streak to five games.

Looking ahead, the Centerville Boys' Varsity Basketball team is gearing up to face off against the formidable Moeller Crusaders in the Regional Final on Saturday. Scheduled for noon at The Cintas Center, this anticipated matchup promises intense competition.

Fans eager to support the Elks are advised to plan their travel routes carefully. Due to detours on 75 South, it's recommended to take 71 South to Exit 5 (Dana Road) to reach the arena smoothly.
