Boys Lacrosse Sweeps Pickerington Central In Home Opener

The Boys Lacrosse Teams had an impressive start to their season as they hosted Pickerington Central on Saturday, both the varsity and JV teams secured victories, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the field.

The varsity team faced a tough challenge, trailing 4-2 after the first period and 6-5 at halftime against Pickerington Central. However, they displayed resilience and determination in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 9-5 to claim a final score of 14-10 in their favor. Key players who led the charge for the Elks included JP Mercer, who contributed an impressive 5 goals and 5 assists, Seth Alejandrino with 2 assists and 10 ground balls, and Gavin Dalton, who dominated with 16 faceoff wins.

Meanwhile, the JV team also delivered a stellar performance, defeating Pickerington Central with a commanding score of 14-1, showcasing the depth and talent within the Centerville lacrosse program.

Looking ahead, the teams are gearing up for their next challenge against Lakota East on Tuesday, March 19th. The JV game is set to kick off at 5:30 pm, followed by the varsity game at 7:15 pm.
