On Saturday, the Varsity Baseball team faced off against the Massillon Jackson Polar Bears, resulting in an 8-3 loss for the Elks. The game saw the Elks struggling to overcome their opponents' strong performance.

The Elks encountered difficulties during the game, particularly in their defensive plays. Costly throwing errors added pressure, affecting the team's overall performance. Despite their efforts, the Elks couldn't muster enough offensive power to turn the tide in their favor.

The Massillon Jackson Polar Bears took advantage of the Elk's mistakes, capitalizing on the opportunities presented to them. The Polar Bears play not only nullified the Elk's offense but also allowed them to secure a convincing win.

With this result, the Elks Varsity Baseball team's overall record for the season stands at 1 win and 2 losses, marking a challenging start to their campaign.

The Varsity B team also faced a tough challenge against Massillon Jackson on Saturday, suffering a 10-0 defeat. However, there was a bright spot for the Elks as the Junior Varsity B team emerged victorious in their game against Chaminade on the road, securing an 8-3 win.

Looking ahead, the baseball teams are gearing up for their next matchup against the St. Xavier Bombers on Monday. The Varsity team will be playing at home at Booster Park at 5 pm, while the 9th and Junior Varsity teams are scheduled to play at St. Xavier at the same time.
