Girls Track & Field Has Dominant Weekend

The Girls Track & Field team kicked off their season with an outstanding performance during the opening weekend of competitions, showcasing their talent and determination on the track and in the field events. On Saturday, the Varsity Girls Track & Field team claimed victory at the highly competitive Pickerington North Stingel Invitational by a margin of just .50 points, demonstrating their resilience and skill.

The girls had a remarkable day filled with balanced and dynamic performances across various events. Leading the charge were standout athletes Kelly Horky, who secured a victory in the discus event, and the impressive relay teams that brought home gold. The 4x800M Relay team, consisting of Mia Fry, Claire Drylie, Hart, and Caroline Haines, displayed exceptional teamwork and speed to clinch first place. Additionally, the 4x200M Relay team, comprising Lauren Jessup Aiken, Ashlyn Rickert, Samaria Williams, and Sariah Turner, showcased their speed and coordination to secure another victory for the team.

The success didn't stop there for the Lady Elks, as on Friday night, the girls JV Track team emerged victorious at the JV Meet held at Springboro. The entire team exhibited remarkable performances, contributing to an incredible weekend overall for the Centerville Girls Track & Field team.

The weekend's achievements highlight the team's dedication, hard work, and depth across various events, setting a promising tone for the rest of the season. With such a strong start, the Centerville Girls Track & Field team is poised for continued success and is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in upcoming competitions.
