The Boys Varsity Volleyball team recently competed in the East vs. West Event held at Beavercreek on Saturday, facing off against strong opponents in preparation for the State Tourney. Despite their best efforts, the Elks encountered tough competition throughout the event, finishing with a 0-3 record.

In their first match, the Elks battled against Thomas Worthington, putting up a strong fight but ultimately falling short in 4 sets, losing 3-1. The team continued to display their determination in the second match against Worthington Kilbourne, pushing the game to 5 sets but ultimately losing with a score of 3-2. In their final match of the event, the Elks faced Upper Arlington and fought hard but were unable to secure a victory, losing 3-0.

While the results were challenging, the competition served as valuable experience for the Elks as they gear up for the State Tourney, especially since all of these teams are in the Elk's Region, providing a glimpse of the competition they may face in future matchups.

On a positive note, the JVA team performed well in their matches at Fairmont, finishing with a 2-1 record. They secured victories against Thomas Worthington (2-1) and Worthington Kilbourne (2-0) but fell short against Upper Arlington (2-0). The JVB team also showed their skills, going 1-2 at Centerville, with a win against Worthington Kilbourne (2-0) and close matches against Thomas Worthington (2-0) and Upper Arlington (2-1).

Looking ahead, the Elks will be back in action at home for the Jam the Gym event on Wednesday, April 10th, facing Lakota East. The JVB match starts at 5:30 pm in the Back Gym, followed by the JVA match at 5:30 pm in the Main Gym, and the Varsity match at approximately 7 pm in the Main Gym. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door, and for those unable to attend in person, the JVA and Varsity matches in the Main Gym will be streamed live for a fee.
