Centerville High School's Elks baseball team demonstrated their strength and determination this week, bouncing back from a challenging defeat to secure an impressive victory.

On Monday, April 15, the Elks faced a tough battle against Beavercreek. Despite a valiant effort, the team fell short against the Beavers by a score of 5-4. However, the Elks didn't let the setback keep them down.

Led by standout performances from Karson Adkins and Andrew Erwin, who showcased their hitting prowess, the Elks' offense put up a strong fight. Adkins delivered a powerful double and contributed an RBI, while Erwin showed consistency with two hits of his own. The trio of pitchers, Jackson Clark, Miles Whitesell, and Seth Landsaw, put in a solid effort on the mound, but Beavercreek managed to secure the win.

Determined to turn things around, the Elks regrouped and refocused for their next game against Northmont on Wednesday, April 17. And they did just that beating the Bolts 5-0.

Against Northmont, the Elks came out swinging, with Karson Adkins leading the charge with a spectacular three-run homerun, igniting the team's offense. Colten Burleson also made significant contributions with three hits of his own, adding to the team's offensive firepower.

Senior Drake Wells took the mound as the starting pitcher, showcasing his experience and leadership. With a solid performance, Wells earned the win for the Elks. Tyler Otto entered the game as a reliever and delivered a stellar performance, pitching 3 1/3 innings to help secure the victory.

As the season progresses, the Centerville High School Elks baseball team continues to show their strength and resilience, inspiring their fans and supporters with each game they play. With their unwavering determination and teamwork, the future looks bright for the Elks baseball team. The Elks record now stands at 7-4.
