The Varsity Baseball team had a challenging night on Wednesday as they faced Fairmont and fell short with a final score of 8-6. Despite their best efforts, the Elks couldn't secure the win in this closely contested game. The Elks dropped both league games to Fairmont.

Several players contributed significantly to the game's action. Junior pitchers Casey Lippincott, Gavin Kent, and Seth Landsaw, along with sophomore Luke Maciejewski, took to the mound for the Elks, showcasing their skills and determination throughout the match.

On the offensive side, sophomore Colten Burleson, sophomore Ryan Muchmore, and sophomore Luke Maciejewski stood out with impressive doubles, adding to the team's efforts to rally against Fairmont.

The Varsity team's record now stands at 9-6 overall and 6-4 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC).

In related games, the Junior Varsity A (JVA) team also faced Fairmont but suffered an 8-3 defeat. On a brighter note, the Junior Varsity B (JVB) team secured a victory with a 4-0 win over Fairmont.

Looking ahead, the Elks are gearing up to face Springboro on Friday. The Varsity team will travel to Springboro, while the JVA team will host Springboro at Booster Park, and the JVB team will host Springboro at Schoolhouse Park. All games are set to start at 5:00 pm, promising an evening of exciting baseball action for players and fans alike.
