Softball Celebrates Seniors, Clinches Share Of GWOC Title

The Varsity Softball team delivered a spectacular performance on Senior Night, securing a decisive 13-2 victory over Wayne and clinching at least a share of the CO-GWOC Championship. The Lady Elks showcased their talent and determination, led by several standout senior players who left their mark on the game.

Senior Ardyn Hopf led the offensive charge, going 3 for 4 at the plate and contributing significantly to the team's scoring efforts. Senior Hayley Arnold also made a significant impact with a 2 for 3 performance, including a powerful home run that energized the team and fans alike. Senior Natalie Ladue showcased her batting prowess, going 1 for 2 with two crucial RBIs, while Senior Allison McGuire had a perfect night at the plate, going 3 for 3 and adding another home run to the team's impressive tally.

On the pitching front, Senior Ally Middleton delivered a stellar performance, pitching all 5 innings with precision and skill to secure the win for the Lady Elks. Middleton's strong presence on the mound complemented the team's solid defensive efforts, ensuring a well-rounded victory.

With this win, the Centerville Varsity Softball team improved to an outstanding 20-4 overall record and an impressive 12-2 record in the GWOC, showcasing their dominance throughout the season. The Junior Varsity (JV) team also contributed to the night's success, securing a convincing 21-9 victory over Wayne.

Looking ahead, the Varsity team is set to host Mount Notre Dame on Monday at 5 pm, providing fans with another exciting opportunity to support their favorite players. Additionally, the JV team will host Miamisburg on Tuesday at 5 pm, continuing their quest for victory.
