The Varsity Baseball team hosted the Moeller Crusaders on Monday night. The Crusaders, boasting an impressive record of 22-0 record, entered the game ranked first in Ohio and fifth nationally. Despite a valiant effort from the Elks, they ultimately fell to the Crusaders with a final score of 6-2.

Senior pitcher Drake Wells and junior Tyler Otto took the mound for the Elks, showcasing their skills against a strong Moeller lineup. Despite their best efforts, Moeller's offense proved challenging to contain.

On the offensive side, junior Gavin Kent stood out with an impressive performance, delivering two hits to contribute to the Elks' efforts.

The loss brings the Varsity team's overall record to 10 wins and 12 losses for the season. However, the Elks remain determined as they look ahead to their upcoming games and strive to finish the regular season on a strong note.

In addition to the Varsity game, the Junior Varsity A (JVA) team also faced off against Moeller, falling short with a score of 11-1. Likewise, the Junior Varsity B (JVB) team encountered a tough match, losing to Moeller with a score of 12-2.

As the regular season winds down, all three teams are gearing up for their next challenges. The Varsity team is set to host Fairborn in their next game, providing an opportunity for redemption and a chance to showcase their resilience. Meanwhile, the JVA team will hit the road to face Carlisle, and the JVB team will travel to Sidney, both eager to bounce back with strong performances.

Fans and supporters are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Elks as they continue to battle on the diamond, with all games scheduled to start at 5 pm.
