Varsity Baseball Scores Big Win Against Mason

The Varsity baseball team celebrated a thrilling victory on Wednesday night, beating the formidable Mason Comets team at home with a score of 4-3. This win marks a significant achievement for the Elks, considering Mason's leading position in the GMC with a perfect 10-0 record and an impressive 13-3 overall standing, placing them 13th in the state rankings.

Junior pitchers Casey Lippincott and Josh Miller showcased their skills on the mound for the Elks, delivering a solid performance that helped secure the win. The team's offense was led by junior Gavin Kent, who had an outstanding game with a double, triple, and contributed 3 RBI's, crucial in securing the victory.

With this win, the Centerville Elks Varsity baseball team's overall record stands at 11-12, highlighting their determination and improvement as they continue to compete at a high level. The Junior Varsity A (JVA) team also ended their season on a high note, finishing with a commendable 16-8 overall record and concluding with a dominant 10-2 win against Harrison.

Looking ahead, the Varsity team is set to host Kenton Ridge on Friday at 5 pm, providing another opportunity to showcase their skills and teamwork. Additionally, the Elks will conclude their regular season in a special event at Great American Ballpark on Saturday. As part of the Reds Showcase Event, the Elks will face off against Lakota West at 3 pm, offering players and fans an exciting experience in a professional baseball setting.
