The Varsity Baseball team had an exciting weekend as they traveled to the Great American Ballpark to take on Lakota West in the Reds Showcase Event on Saturday. It was a day filled with thrills and triumphs for the Elks as they secured a resounding 10-3 victory over the Firebirds.

Leading the charge for the Elks was senior pitcher Drake Wells, who delivered a stellar performance on the mound, securing the win for Centerville. Wells' precision and skill kept the Firebirds at bay, allowing the Elks to dominate the game. Senior Jayden Benson closed out the game for Drake on the mound to secure the win.

On the offensive front, senior Jayden Benson emerged as a standout player, contributing significantly to the team's success with 2 hits and an impressive 4 RBI (Runs Batted In). Additionally, junior Gavin Kent showcased his prowess with 2 hits, including a powerful triple, and 3 RBI, further solidifying Centerville's lead.
