Varsity Girls Cross Country Wins Loveland Invite

This past Saturday, the Girls Varsity Cross Country team traveled to the Loveland Invitational and brought home a big win! The Lady Elks were outstanding, running as a pack and supporting each other every step of the way.

Mia Fry led the team with an impressive performance, finishing 3rd overall with a time of 20:00.2. Right behind her was Claire Drylie, who secured 4th place with a time of 20:01.1.

The next group of Elks crossed the finish line one after another, taking 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th places. Elana VonHandorf finished 11th with a time of 20:32.8, followed by Ella Buckingham in 12th at 20:34.4. Shayda Hart came in 13th with a time of 20:39.7, and Meredith Drylie rounded out the group in 14th place at 20:41.2.

Chloe Sorenson also had a strong showing, finishing in 28th place with a time of 21:29.3.

The Lady Elks showed how powerful teamwork can be, running together and pushing each other to do their best. It was an outstanding day for Centerville, and the girls’ hard work paid off with a well-deserved victory!
