The Girls Golf teams had an exciting week of competition, filled with strong performances and challenging matches.

On Monday, the Varsity Gold team competed in the Alter Invitational at NCR North, which is also the course for this year’s state championship. The team tied for second place in a three-way tie. Brigid Nickell led the Elks with an impressive score of 74, earning her 5th place overall. Meanwhile, the JV Golf team played against Beavercreek at Beavercreek and lost 290-267. Kayla Bare led the Elks in that match.

Wednesday saw the Varsity Black team in action at the 9-hole Oakwood Invitational. They finished 9th with a total score of 254, with Rebecca Baldwin leading the way for Centerville.

On Thursday, the Lady Elks Golf team had a fun match against Springboro at Yankee in a Ryder Cup-style format. While the Elks lost 2-1, it was an exciting challenge, as playing this style of golf is always a fun experience.

The week will finish on Saturday with the Varsity Gold team traveling to compete in the Toledo Saint Ursula Arrow Golf Tournament at Highland Meadows Golf Course. The competition begins at 1 p.m.

It’s been a week full of hard work, great competition, and memorable moments for the Centerville Girls Golf Program!
