The Boys Varsity Soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie against Fairmont on Tuesday night. The Elks struck first, scoring late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. However, the Firebirds responded before halftime, tying the game at 1-1. The second half was a hard-fought defensive battle, with neither team able to score, leading to the game ending in a tie.
The JVA team faced a tough match as well, losing 1-0 to Fairmont.
The tie brings the Varsity team’s record to 2-3-3 for the season. The Elks will return to action on Saturday when they take on Findlay. The JVA match starts at 12:00 p.m., followed by Varsity at 2:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online (no fees) at or with cash at the door for $8.
