Girls Soccer Splits Two Games This Week

The Girls Varsity Soccer team had an up-and-down week, splitting two home games. On Monday, the Lady Elks fought hard but lost a close game to Vandalia Butler, 1-0. The JVA team had better luck, earning a 1-0 win over Butler.

On Wednesday, the Lady Elks bounced back with a strong performance against Fairmont. Zoe Johnson scored both goals for Centerville, helping the team secure a 2-1 victory. With this win, the Varsity team improved to 6-4 overall and remains undefeated in league play. The JVA team dominated their game, beating Fairmont 6-0.

The Lady Elks will be back in action at home on Saturday when they take on Mount Notre Dame. The JVA game starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Varsity at 7:15 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online (no fees) at or with cash at the door for $8. The games will also be streamed live for $10 total at
