This Week in Girls Golf
Hello, everyone!
Our girls' golf teams had a busy week with some great performances and tough matches. Here's how the Elks did:
Varsity Gold Team: Strong Performances
The varsity gold team started the week by competing in the Celtic Invite at Darby Creek, where they finished in 7th place. This was a challenging tournament with many talented teams, and our players held their own!
Next, the Varsity Gold played Fenwick at NCR and earned an awesome win with a score of 156 to 166. This victory shows their skill and determination.
To wrap up the week, the varsity gold team competed in the Beavercreek Invitational and finished in an impressive 2nd place! Way to go, team!
Varsity Black Team: Battling Through Tough Matches
The varsity black team had two matches this week. Their first match was against Bellbrook at Sugar Valley, where they had a tough loss with a score of 241 to 171.
In their final match of the week, the Varsity Black played Wayne at Sugar Isle. This match was very close, but the varsity black team came up just short, losing 236 to 233. It was a hard-fought match, and we're proud of their determination to keep pushing.
Finally, our JV Team took on Springboro this week. They came up short losing by a score of 295-205.
The Varsity Gold will be back on the course at the New Albany Invite next week on 9/24 as they conclude the regular season and prepare for the State Tournament! Good Luck Girls!
