This Week in Girls Tennis
Hello, Elks fans!
Our girls' tennis teams had an exciting and competitive week with some close matches and big wins. Here’s how the varsity gold and varsity black teams performed:
Varsity Gold Team: A Week of Tough Matches
The varsity gold team started their week with a hard-fought match against Sycamore. It was a close one, but the Elks came up just short, losing 3-2. The team played with great effort and determination, but came up just short.
Next, the girls faced Beavercreek and bounced back in a big way, winning the match 5-0! Every player gave it their all, leading to a clean sweep for the team. Awesome job, Elks!
To finish the week, the varsity gold team played St. Ursula. Despite their best efforts, the Elks fell by a score of 4-1. Even though it wasn’t the outcome they hoped for, the team continued to fight hard and show great spirit.
Varsity Black Team: Two Big Wins!
The varsity black team had an outstanding week, starting with a big 5-0 win over Beavercreek. Their strong play continued in their next match against Badin, where they earned another victory, winning 4-1. The varsity black team is on a roll!
Finally, our JV Team played this week against Beavercreek earning a 4-1 victory! Great job Elks!
The Varsity Gold travels to Lexington today to conclude their week! We look forward to hearing how the girls did! Go Elks!
