The Boys Cross Country team had an outstanding day on Saturday at the Louisville Trinity Invite in Kentucky. Senior Kasem Kaheal made history by breaking the school record in the 5k, running an incredible time of 15:10.38!

The varsity team had a strong showing, finishing 6th overall. Leading the charge for the Elks were Kaheal, along with teammates Porter, Job, Noel, and Emmert.

The 9th/10th grade team also had an amazing race, placing 3rd, which is the best finish for the Elks in 10 years at this event. Top runners for the younger squad included Kaheal, Leonard, Jones, Kaufman, and Job.

Next weekend, the Elks will host the 20th Annual Saturday Night Lights event at CHS Stadium. Get ready for another exciting race!
