Hello, Elks fans!
The Centerville Elks football team faced a tough challenge this week as they played against Springfield. It was a hard-fought game, but the Elks came up short, losing 17-3.
Our defense worked hard to keep the game close, but Springfield was able to score 17 points. Centerville's offense struggled to move the ball and their only score of the game came from Leland Gantz, who kicked a solid 20-yard field goal.
Even though the game didn’t go our way, the team showed resilience and effort throughout. Losses can be tough, but they also help us learn and improve.
We know the Elks will bounce back stronger in the next game when they travel to Beavercreek this Friday night to take on the Beavers!
In other action, the JV team beat Springfield by a score of 19-13 and the 9th grade team lost to Big Walnut 54-0.
