The Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Springboro on Wednesday night with the GWOC Championship on the line. Unfortunately, the Lady Elks did not have their best performance, as the Springboro Panthers controlled the game and handed Centerville a 3-0 loss.
This defeat marked the end of the regular season for the Lady Elks, who finished with a solid overall record of 9-6-2 and a 6-1 record in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC), securing second place in the standings.
It was a tough night for both teams, as the JVA squad also lost 3-0 to Springboro.
Looking ahead, the Varsity team will now turn their focus to the postseason. They will begin tournament play at home on October 21st, hosting Springfield at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets online at or at the gate for $8 for adults and $5 for students.
