The varsity football team put on an incredible all-around performance Friday night, defeating Northmont 45-0 at home. The Elks took control from the very start, marching 65 yards on their opening drive to take an early 7-0 lead.

Centerville’s defense was dominant, stifling Northmont’s offense throughout the first half, forcing three-and-outs nearly every drive. The offense continued to shine, and by halftime, the Elks held a commanding 31-0 lead. The second half saw the clock running continuously, as the Elks maintained their stronghold.

Parker Johnson led the charge on the ground, rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Shane Cole was efficient through the air, completing 12 of 15 passes for 126 yards, while also adding 69 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Ethan Ireland chipped in with a 12-yard touchdown run to cap off the dominant night.

The win improves Centerville’s record to 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC). The Elks will be back in action next Friday night as they take on Springboro. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and tickets can be purchased online or the gate with cash ($9). Fans can also stream the game live at

The Elks will look to carry this momentum into their next game as they continue their push in the GWOC standings.
