The varsity girls' cross country team delivered a strong performance at the GWOC Championship Meet this past Saturday at Northmont. The Lady Elks secured 3rd place, led by Claire Drylie, who finished 5th with a time of 19:53. Close behind was Shayda Hart, finishing 8th at 20:00, and Elana VonHandorf, placing 10th with a time of 20:16. Ella Buckingham (18th, 20:55) and Chloe Sorensen (19th, 21:09) also contributed to the team's solid finish.
Other runners for the Lady Elks included Meredith Drylie, Caroline Haines, and Alianne Boehm.
The team now shifts its focus to the SWDAB District Meet, which will take place at Cedarville University. The girls are scheduled to run at 1:45 pm. Tickets are available online at , with prices set at $8 for adults and $5 for students.
