The boys' varsity cross country team captured the GWOC Championship this past Saturday at Northmont High School, ending a 7-year title drought. The Elks were led by their seniors, with Kasem Kaheal claiming the individual GWOC Championship by running an impressive time of 15:30. Senior Daniel Emmert finished 5th at 15:59, followed by Mitchell Jon in 9th place with a time of 16:21. Jagger Noel took 10th (16:24), and Jacob Porter rounded out the team’s top five, finishing 11th at 16:25.
Also competing for the Elks were senior Owen Zeiser, junior Tyler Swan, and senior Daniel Coderre. It was a dominating team effort that secured the GWOC title for Centerville.
Next, the boys will race in the SWDAB District Championship Meet at Cedarville University on Saturday, October 19th, at 1:00 pm. Tickets are available online at , with prices set at $8 for adults and $5 for students.
