The Girls Varsity Gold Golf team wrapped up their season with a great performance at the OHSAA State Championship, held at the NCR Country Club North Course on October 14th and 15th. Battling through cold weather, rain, and strong winds, the Lady Elks faced tough competition and finished 7th overall. They were the top finishers among the three teams from the Southwest District and were one of only three teams to improve their score on day two.

On Monday, the Lady Elks shot a team score of 346, and they followed that up with a better score of 333 on Tuesday. Leading the team was senior Brigid Nickell, who finished 25th with scores of 85 and 78. Senior Ava Bressler placed 33rd, shooting 86 and 82, while senior Nithya Nunna finished 41st with scores of 88 and 84. Junior Ava Snow shot 87 and 89, finishing 43rd, and junior Rebecca Hartley completed the tournament in 54th place with scores of 94 and 93.

The team should be proud of their efforts and a strong season. Congratulations to the Lady Elks!
