In a hard-fought District Championship game on Thursday night, the girls' soccer team was edged out by the Lebanon Warriors in a narrow 2-1 defeat at Middletown. The matchup showcased two evenly-matched teams with both squads displaying strong defensive plays, near misses, and stellar goalkeeping. Ultimately, the Warriors’ attention to the smallest details helped them secure the victory.

Throughout the game, both teams generated high-quality scoring opportunities, and the contest could have tilted either way. The Elks, known for their resilience and skill, battled until the end, nearly matching the Warriors’ precision play for play. However, in a game where every moment counted, Lebanon managed to capitalize just enough to make the difference.

The Lady Elks finish the season with a 10-7-2 record, having demonstrated growth, teamwork, and tenacity. The players and coaching staff can reflect proudly on a competitive season that brought them within reach of a District title.
