The girls' varsity volleyball team advanced to the District Championship after a decisive 3-0 victory over Springboro on Thursday night at Butler High School. In the first round of tournament action, the Lady Elks defeated the Panthers with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, and 25-14, showcasing their skill and determination to remain on top.
The Panthers had banked on the adage that it’s tough to beat a team three times in a row, choosing Centerville as their opening opponent. But the Lady Elks rose to the challenge, dominating Springboro in straight sets and improving their season record to 20-3. With this win, they secured their place in today’s District Championship, set for 4 p.m. at Butler High School, where they’ll face off against Sycamore. Tickets are available online at .
