Boys Varsity Boys Cross Country Runs Lights Out At Regionals, 3rd Place Finish Puts The Elk At Next Week's State Meet

The Boys Varsity Cross Country team secured a strong 3rd place finish at the OHSAA Regional Meet held at Troy Memorial Stadium on Saturday, earning them a spot at next Saturday’s State Meet. The top 5 teams from the meet will compete at the State Championship, which takes place at Fortress Obetz in Obetz, OH. The boys will run at 2:00 pm.

Senior Kasem Kaheal led the Elks with an impressive 3rd place finish, crossing the line with a time of 15:23. Daniel Emmert also ran well, finishing 11th with a time of 15:50. Jagger Noel and Mitchell Job finished close together, placing 22nd and 24th with times of 16:14 and 16:16, respectively. Rounding out the Elks' lineup were Jacob Porter in 41st (16:28), Tyler Swan in 66th (17:00), and Owen Zeiser in 86th (17:26).

Tickets for the State Meet are available online at or can be purchased with cash at the door. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students.
