The Boys Cross Country team finished a strong season with an impressive 7th place at the OHSAA State Meet on Saturday at Fortress Obetz. Leading the Elks was senior Kasem Kaheal, who had a remarkable race, finishing 4th overall with a time of 15:05. His teammate Daniel Emmert also ran an outstanding race, placing 14th with a time of 15:26. Both Kasem and Daniel earned All-State honors, placing their names on the prestigious Wall at Centerville High School.
The Elks’ other runners also put in solid performances on the state’s toughest course. Mitchell Job finished 86th with a time of 16:12, followed by Jacob Porter in 99th with a time of 16:16. Tyler Swan finished 134th with a time of 16:41, Owen Zeiser came in 155th at 16:57, and Jagger Noel rounded out the team in 164th with a time of 17:07.
The Boys Cross Country team worked hard all season and represented their school proudly on Saturday. Their teamwork and dedication helped them place among Ohio’s top teams. Congratulations to the Elks on a great season!
