The Varsity Girls Basketball team opened their season with an impressive 66-33 win over the Graham Falcons on Tuesday night. Playing on their home court, the Lady Elks took control early, building a 15-3 lead in the first quarter and stretching their advantage to 37-14 by halftime.
Senior Avery Sarver led the scoring effort with 11 points, while fellow senior Caroline McDowell added 10 points. Junior Bella Keeton also made a strong contribution with 9 points.
The Lady Elks will return to action this Friday for another home game. The freshman and JV teams will tip off at noon, and the Varsity game will follow at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased online (no fees) at or with cash at the door.
For fans who can’t make it to the gym, the JV and Varsity games will be streamed live from the Main Gym for $10 total. Watch the action at .
