The varsity boys’ and girls’ swim teams kicked off their season in style Friday night at the Kettering Recreation Center, competing in the Firebird Early Bird Meet. Both teams swept the competition, earning first-place finishes and setting the tone for a strong season ahead.
The Lady Elks had a stellar night, finishing first with a total of 274 points. They were led by top scorers Samantha Coressel and Stella Robbins, who delivered standout performances. Fairmont and Beavercreek rounded out the top three, but neither could match Centerville’s depth and speed in the pool.

The Centerville boys’ team also brought their A-game, finishing first with an impressive 292 points. Leading the way were Kyle Napier and Michael Beeler, who set the pace for the team. Taylor High School placed second, but Centerville’s dominant showing left little doubt about their strength this season.

The Firebird Early Bird Meet was a fantastic way for the Elk swimmers to start their season. Both teams showed their determination, skill, and depth, leaving the competition in their wake. With top performers like Coressel, Robbins, Napier, and Beeler leading the charge, Centerville swim fans have a lot to look forward to this year.
