It was a busy and exciting day for Centerville Girls Basketball, with multiple teams taking the court in spirited matchups.
The day began with an intra-squad showdown as the 8th Grade Black Team faced off against the 8th Grade Gold Team. Both teams displayed strong effort and determination, but the Gold Team emerged victorious with a 38-29 win.
In the afternoon, the junior varsity team took on Big Walnut. Despite their hard work and tenacity, the Elks fell short, losing 33-15.
The varsity team closed out the day with a highly competitive game against Big Walnut. The Elks battled hard but ultimately came up short in a 68-57 loss. Senior standout Caroline McDowell led the team with an impressive 24 points, while Bella Keeton added 18 points and Halley Boeke contributed 10 points.
The teams will look to build on their efforts as the season continues. Go Elks!
