Ladies Lead: Centerville’s Fall Season Dominated by Exceptional Female Athletes

It’s been a golden autumn for Centerville Athletics — and the ladies are leading the way.

Centerville’s girls’ programs delivered one of the most dominant fall seasons in school history, capturing multiple GWOC Championships, individual honors, and deep postseason runs that showcased the strength and pride of Elk Nation.

?????? Golf Glory

Senior standout Ava Snow capped off a stellar season by being named GWOC Athlete of the Year for girls golf. Her consistent play and leadership helped guide the Elks to one of their strongest team finishes in recent years, continuing the tradition of excellence on the course.

? Soccer Stars Shine

The Centerville girls soccer team turned heads across the state, advancing all the way to the Regional Final — finishing as one of the Top 10 teams in Ohio. Their run was fueled by Anna Kate Robillard, who earned GWOC Athlete of the Year honors after an incredible senior season marked by skill, energy, and clutch performances.

????? Cross Country Excellence

The Elks’ distance dominance continued this fall as Shayda Hart and Ella Buckingham both qualified for the OHSAA State Championships, representing Centerville among Ohio’s best. The girls cross country team also claimed the GWOC title, adding yet another championship to an already historic season under first year head coach Ali Erickson (GWOC Coach of the Year XC).

???? Championships All Around

Centerville’s success didn’t stop there — both girls tennis and girls volleyball captured GWOC Championships, underscoring the unmatched depth and consistency of the Elks’ athletic programs across all sports.

?? A Familiar Face Returns

Adding to the excitement, Centerville girls basketball legend Amy Velasco — now Amy Moyer — returns to the program this winter in a new role: Head Coach of the Freshman Boys Basketball Team. After an outstanding career at Bowling Green State University, Moyer brings leadership, experience, and the same championship mindset that defined her time as an Elk.

???? Elk Pride Never Dies

From championship courts and greens to record-breaking runs and postseason glory, Centerville’s ladies have proven once again that Elk Pride Never Dies — and this fall, one theme rings true: Ladies Lead.
